Hi, my name is Vladyslav (Vlad for short). I come from Miles Mac Collegiate. I am a passionate and motivated aspiring game developer and digital designer who enjoys creating interactive experiences and exploring innovative ideas in game development.
I primarily focus on developing video games while strengthening my digital design abilities. I enjoy working independently on long-term projects where I can experiment with:
My goal is to create games that are engaging, balanced, and technically solid. I consistently challenge myself to learn new tools, improve performance, and refine my workflow to produce better results with each project.
Game development allows me to combine programming, 3D modeling, design, and problem-solving into one creative process.
I attended IT STEP Academy (Ukraine), and Miles Mac Collegiate where I built a solid foundation in software development and digital design. I gained experience with professional tools such as:
These courses helped me understand real-world workflows and collaborative development processes.
Outside of development, I enjoy playing video games, especially competitive FPS titles. My favorite genre is tactical shooters, and I actively follow professional eSports—particularly Counter-Strike.
I am also interested in online streaming communities and enjoy learning about gaming strategies and digital media.
I have strong direct experience in video game development, primarily using Roblox Studio as a flexible and accessible platform to bring my ideas to life. I am currently developing an FPS game inspired by Counter-Strike, focusing on realistic mechanics, smooth controls, and competitive balance.
Working independently has strengthened my skills in planning, debugging, testing, and long-term project management.
I have also developed a simple prototype in Unreal Engine using free assets as part of my learning journey. When Unreal Engine 5 was released, my computer did not meet the hardware requirements, so I paused development. I plan to return to Unreal once my current project is complete.
To support my game development work, I create original assets using:
I design 3D models, textures, and environments that fit my projects' visual style. I have improved my understanding of lighting, optimization, and asset integration in game engines.
I have experience using After Effects and Premiere Pro. I completed a full gameplay video project where I managed editing and visual enhancement. Through this project, I developed skills in:
I have studied:
These languages helped me understand core programming concepts such as logic, algorithms, and data structures.
Through my Roblox projects, I gained strong experience in Luau, which I use to design gameplay, interfaces, and mechanics. While I continue to improve, I am confident in using scripting to build complex game features.
In addition, I have experience with HTML and CSS and have created functional websites, some of which were hosted online as part of my training.
I volunteered at a grocery store for two months (110 hours) as part of my school requirements at Miles Mac. This experience helped me develop responsibility, teamwork, and customer service skills.
The following year, I was hired at the same store, where I gained real-world experience in time management, communication, and working in a fast-paced environment.
I enjoy cooking and regularly practice improving my abilities. Cooking has strengthened my creativity, patience, organization, and attention to detail.
I am motivated, and always eager to learn new skills. I enjoy taking on challenges and continuously working toward personal and professional growth.
